General Information

Anyone who has not taken the Protecting God’s Children workshop, please respond promptly to Mrs. Dana Schuler as to which workshop time you will be attending. It’s imperative that we have a response readily in order to have enough materials for each workshop.

ALL VOLUNTEERS PLEASE CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE BEFORE YOU REPORT TO THE LUNCH ROOM. WE HAVE A COMPUTER SIGN IN/OUT TO COLLECT YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS.

‘Must haves’ in order to volunteer:

• All volunteers must have the following documents on file with the school:
• Criminal Background Check, renewal every 5 years -->Criminal Record Check
• Child Abuse Background Check, renewal every 5 years -->PA Child Abuse Hx Clearance
• Safe Environment Certificate (see below for class information)
• Mandated Reporter Training --> Click here to learn more about this new mandatory class
• Mandated Report Training Class Schedule
• All forms, upon completion, should be returned to the  school as all associated fees are paid for by SPN.  When submitting a PA Child  Abuse Form, please include a release form.  Requests for Child Abuse clearances  will only be accepted when accompanied by a release.
• All volunteers are asked to read the Volunteer Handbook, so that they become acquainted with SPNs expectations of a volunteer.
• If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, we would love to have you and ask that you contact the school.

Safe Environment Workshop (Protecting God’s Children)

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia requires that all adult volunteer and employees that have contact with children of the parish at least one time a week take a mandatory class Protecting God’s Children.  You need only take this class once.  The Archdiocese will be presenting the following classes:
